Music at Mossy Head is fun, active, and interactive. From the moment students enter the music room, they are singing, moving, playing instruments, and creating. There is never a dull moment! While it may seem that students come to play, this is definitely not the case. We just simply use activities and games to teach music concepts.
Students receive music instruction once a week. Kindergarten and First Grade students have 40 minute music classes and Second through Fifth grade students have 50 minute music classes. Students learn the rhythm of music, music reading skills, vocal repertoire, how to play instruments, and expression through movement. They also learn about famous composers and their musical contributions to the world.
